Guide to vision correction and eye health

All About Vision® is the company's flagship website, providing consumers with more than 450 pages of trustworthy information and advice on eye care and vision correction. The site is a one-stop resource for information on highly searched topics such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, LASIK, glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration; and can help consumers find an eye doctor.

Launched in 2000, All About Vision serves millions of visitors each year. Advertisers on the site include blue-chip vision care brandholders such as Alcon, Allergan, Advanced Medical Optics, CIBA Vision, CooperVision and Johnson & Johnson.

OptiStock

Now owned by Jobson Medical Information, OptiStock® was launched by Access Media in 1997 to provide market intelligence to vision care investors through a group of publications:

  • OptiStock News, a free email newsletter providing a weekly update of news impacting vision care equities.
  • OptiStock MarketWatch, providing more than 60,000 individuals in the capital markets and financial press with in-depth coverage of the vision industry's most active sectors.
  • OptiStock.com, a repository of issue archives and provides stock quotes, performance rankings, corporate profiles and other information of interest to current and prospective vision care investors.

In January 2005, to better align the company's resources with its strategic focus on health information for consumers, the OptiStock publication group was sold to Jobson Publishing.

Ceatus Media Group

Access Media Group's sister company, Ceatus Media Group, was formed in September 2004 to develop health information portals and Internet physician directories. The company's first project was to launch the highly successful All About Vision LASIK Surgeon Directory, which now serves more than 100 U.S. markets. The Directory also serves a growing number of international locations.

In January 2006, Ceatus launched Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery®, a comprehensive resource about cosmetic surgery topics such as liposuction, face-lift, tummy tuck, and rhinoplasty. The site also offers extensive education about breast enhancement, with complete sections on augmentation, breast lift, implants and breast reduction. The mission of the Guide is to provide current, authoritative information to facilitate well-informed decisions about cosmetic plastic surgery. The site is expected to serve more than one million visitors in 2007.

Consumer Guide to Weight Loss Surgery™ was spun off from the plastic surgery portal in May 2007. This site provides information on obesity and treatments including the gastric bypass and the lap band procedure.

In April 2007, Ceatus launched Consumer Guide to Dentistry®, which provides information on cosmetic enhancements such as teeth whitening and porcelain veneers, and comprehensive content about implants, sedation dentistry, dental fillings, pediatric dentistry, dental hygiene, dental insurance and more.
